We love fan projects and this one looks like a great one. A fun look at four different passionate Star Wars fans and how their fandom effects not only family life but everyday life. Here is a very fun project that most Star Wars fans will find exciting.

Welcome to use 10% discount code ASW10 for cheap swtor credits from June 2 to June 14,2016

The Real Fans project was filmed at the start of 2015 and followed 4 completely different fans (that are friends) to Celebration Anaheim all through well over a year (including leading up to The Force Awakens and after it’s release).

Each Episode will be 15 – 30 mins (actual time per episode TBD after editing) and there will be approx 12 – 17 episodes total (again, TBD while editing)

Why do they need your help?

“The Risks and Challenges are always financial. When you don’t have enough….you can only do so much, when you have more financing avail, you can do more. The FIlmmakers Produced this project and put their own money into it. But honestly, It is difficult to mention what the risks and challenges are because Cris Macht has already released 3 documentaries (2 of them successfully funded through kickstarter – the first one he funded on his own!). The Real Fans project has already been filmed, except for the confessionals and is in the Post Production/ Editing process. Not only will your financial contribution get you some cool perks but it will help reimburse the filmmakers the expenses that they have covered, as well as paying for post production costs – ESPECIALLY EDITING! If the goal is not met – it will be difficult to release the project as it will be a financial burden during post production. Cris and Ian believe (along with their fans) that all their productions are made for the fans by the fans -YOUR support is vital!”

Search for the missing diplomat
Investigate the Motorcade Site
Click on the speeder that is interactable, and in the cutscenes chose [Search the Vehicles] –> [Read Datapad] –> [Piece Together the Events]
Search for Survivors (click on the bowcaster)
Read through all the options and then [Pierce Together the Events]
Follow the Trail
Speak to the Courier (relog or switch instances if you are unable to see the courier)
Pursue the Attacker
Investigate the Wreck
Read through all the options and then [Pierce Together the Events]
Confront the Assilant
If you picked the attack option or the second option to settle things peacefully, beware that several options following them will allow you to kill Broonmark and not have him as one of your companions. Some of these are obvious (like Kill Broonmark) but others convo choices are not so if you wish to keep Broonmark don’t pick the first two options.
Picking the option to let him kill Gryyzak will allow him to become your companion. I don’t believe there is a way to keep Gryyak and Broonmark both alive. So you will need to make a choice.
If you made a bad choice and want to keep Broonmark, just exit the instance and reset the mission. You will need to redo everything but thankfully it is short.

Disney, who bought the rights to Star Wars along with the rights to the Star Wars slot machine, has discontinued the game from the US, a decision that the Disney executives brought based on their family friendly policies. Americans won’t have the chance to play the amazing Star Wars slot machine again and what’s worse for slot machine and Star Wars lovers is that there is no online version which they would be able to play and enjoy via a casino app provided by online casinos.

There are hundreds of online casinos and many online casino game providers, but no one so far has tried to buy the rights for Star Wars in order to develop an online Star Wars slot game, that would be offered via casino apps. Even though casino apps are being dropped more and more thanks to the HTML5 technology, the fact that casino apps are better than HTML5 casinos will always be strong.

Disney had bought all the rights to Star Wars for $4.05 billion in 2012, and was against the opening of themed casinos in Florida. According to a Disney spokeswoman, the decision to discontinue the Star Wars slot machine was in place for some time. The decision was based on the fact Florida has a reputation of family-friendly destination and they were against the proliferation of gambling in the state.

Even the fact that Star Wars fans have been enjoying the Star Wars slot machine for years now and have fed countless coins into the game hasn’t been enough for Disney to revoke its decision. Disney doesn’t want to be associated with the world of gambling, especially this beloved franchise.

Moreover, Disney’s intentions were to fight against all forms of gambling that are spreading through Florida. Disney’s competition on the other hand argued that Disney is in fear of them and not gambling. The competition is actually the so-called destination resort casinos, which have the power to attract many guests, where they are able to offer fun for the entire family: gambling for mom and dad, and many fun activities for the children.

The Star Wars slot machines were very popular across the US, especially in Vegas. There were always lines of people waiting for their turn at the progressive jackpot that could make them millionaires. They were very modern 3D slot machines with interactive bonus rounds where you get to see fight scenes from the Death Star as in the original trilogy.

Bioware: this is what i get for supporting you ? | 04.28.2016, 03:01 PM

So i see the new promotion and get excited, then i see this: “Eligibility: Eternal Championship Solo Speedrun Competition (the “Competition”) is open only to legal residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada (excluding Quebec), Chile, China, including Taiwan, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Malaysia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States (including the District of Columbia)”

my country not included, why do you exclude some players from participating in this new contest ? i have been a subscriber for a long time and even when i’m not playing the game i stay a subscriber to support the game and this is the thanks i get ? you have an unhappy customer here and i’m sure there are other players who feel the same way
Country eligibility is definitely a question we have seen quite a bit, hopefully I can lend some insight. In most cases, the reason a Country would be eligible/ineligible is dependent on their respective rules. Each Country has their own rules depending on the type of contest, the individual prizes, the dollar value of those prizes, etc. If your Country is ineligible for the contest, it is likely due to our inability to meet the requisite criteria for Contests and Promotions and we’re either prohibited from offering the promotion in your Country or limited in what actions we could take. Please be aware we are constantly reviewing these types of rules and working with relevant internal teams to expand the number of Countries that can participate.

We apologize if you’re ineligible, our intent will always be to include as many Countries as we can. I hope that clears up any confusion. Thanks!

-eric

The first expansion pack to DICE’s popular Star Wars: Battlefront, Outer Rim, was sure to be a major hit with players, some of whom had decried a certain lack of depth plaguing the original release. Meant to address just that issue, Outer Rim brought tons of new content, including new locations like Jabba the Hutt’s palace and the factories of Sullust. The game has always done a great job in the authenticity department, placing players smack in the middle of the Star Wars universe, and through Outer Rim, that has been taken to a new level. In addition to graphical perfection, the creators of the game have been extremely keen on details, strewing several canon-references over the new locations.

Jabba the Hutt’s throne-room is rife with such artifacts. In fact, the room itself is a rather iconic presence in this respect. Jabba’s throne is the centerpiece, but the rancor pit is there as well, albeit its inhabitant lies slain in the dust below. Jabba’s throne is quite a piece of digital artwork: its arm comes complete with a jar of Klatooine Paddy frogs, Jabba’s favorite snack, that he used to gulp down alive.

Where there’s a rancor pit there have to be Gamorrean Guards too, and indeed there are a few halls down, but there are just three of them and they seem locked up in the prison-cells rather than guarding other prisoners.

Han Solo’s carbonite block is present in the throne-room as well, its high-profile prisoner missing. Indeed, the block used to be one of Jabba’s favorite decorations/trophies, at least back when the smuggler was still residing in it. Canon has it though that he was rescued by Princess Leia (in Return of the Jedi) re-captured and then rescued yet again, so it’s understandably empty in the game.

Jabba had a definite knack for the bizarre and he got his kicks in slightly off-beat ways to say the least, which sort of explains why he kept a droid torture facility in his palace. This location too has been meticulously re-created in the game.

Besides the above covered easter-eggs, there are a number of other subtle yet delightfully welcome canon references in the game like the trash compactor monster known as dianoga in the water tanks of Sorosuub Refinery, as well as an actual overfilled trash compactor in the factory at Sorosuub Pipelines.

SWTOR Producer Ben Irving posted a rally nice open letter to SWTOR Players on the official forums. This letter address some of the concerns players have had with Knights of the fallen empire.

Hi there!

My name is Ben Irving, Producer for Star Wars: The Old Republic.Knights of the Fallen Empire is the most successful expansion we have ever produced. It received critical acclaim from press and fan sites but most importantly, it has been successful because all of you have supported us through the expansion launch and the release of the monthly Chapters. In the eyes of all of our partners, SWTOR is a huge success. BioWare supports this game. EA supports this game. Lusasfilm supports this game. Disney supports this game. In fact, for a game that has been live for almost 5 years, we are receiving an incredible amount of support from all of our partners. It’s both amazing and humbling.

If there is anything I would like people reading this to take away it’s this: SWTOR is absolutely being supported into the future. We have a lot of content coming over the next few months and even more exciting things to talk about later this year. All of us here at BioWare appreciate your ongoing support and we are committed to providing the best experience possible.

It’s because of you, our players, that this game continues to thrive. Thank you for playing Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Ben Irving

Ahh, the Imperial planet of Balmorra here we are at last…. If you have already read my Alderaan Leveling Guide then you will very well know how much I hate this planet. If not, then let me give you a very short run down on why you’re going to hate this planet too. This planet is “layered” in the sense that there is an upper and lower layer. That means if you have a quest on the upper layer and you’re on the lower one but it’s right next to you, you probably have to run for 5 minutes in the opposite direction before you can get to your objective.
The second and main reason I hate this planet is because everything is so clustered together. You can’t run anymore than 10 seconds without getting demounted by a pack of mobs. It gets extremely frustrating after awhile. The good news is this planet goes by pretty fast and is quite grindy in the sense that almost all of the quests here just have you killing mobs. Some may hate that about Balmorra but I personally love it. Anyway, enough with the delays, let’s get started!
Upon arriving on Balmorra the first quest you will want to grab is “From the Wreckage” from Lieutenant Hollis.Once you have that quest take the shuttle down to Bugtown and pick up “Food Chain” from Sergeant Mannes a little bit to the north of where you arrive at. After you’ve grabbed “Food Chain” head a bit north to the large building and go inside. In here you’ll want to update your Class quest and also your “From the Wreckage” quest. Now you’re good to get killing, let’s get started with…

SWTOR is changing. Those of you who have been around with us since the early days will note that it has changed a lot. This is bound to happen in any game that sticks around for years and the longer a game is around, the more it might change.

Sechari of iamsechari.com wrote about this on his blog recently. He’s a big Star Wars fan and writes about his love of Star Wars and Star Wars games, to include Star Wars Galaxies, Knights of the Old Republic and of course, SWTOR. In this post specifically, he tells of how he had to say goodbye to SWG (along with the rest of us) and how he later made his way to SWTOR and got hooked.

But it’s not all fairytale romance, of course. SWTOR has had its ups and downs and in some ways it has and continues still to change direction. If you’re not a hardcore raider and you’re not into PVP, will you enjoy the game the same? For some people, the answer is yes but for some, the answer might be no. The thing is, if you’re looking for negative, you’re probably going to find it. But if you still enjoy the game, your characters, and your time spent with friends, then whose place is it for anyone to try to tell you differently?

It is his summary that speaks to me so well as I echo the same sentiments:

“Yes, I would like to see a return to some of the things I have enjoyed. But if they are no more, I have decided that I will give finding new things to enjoy about SWTOR a fair shot. And, ultimately, if I can find none or if my friends have all moved on, I will move on too. I have done it before.”

What are your thoughts on the current state of SWTOR and the future of the game? Do you still enjoy it in the same way?
