While the Doors of Ahn’Qiraj are already open on some American and Chinese kingdoms, a dozen guilds have already put an end to the existence of C’thun and his minions. The record for the death of the Old God currently stands at 24 minutes.

WoW Classic: C’thun and the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj wiped out in half an hour

Wednesday August 05, 2020, the first day after the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj, the first guilds have already put an end to the assault on the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj. As of this writing, a dozen guilds have defeated C’thun.

The first were the Chinese from the guild 韶光, but the fastest, for now, are the Americans from Rise on Netherwind (US) with a complete clean in 1 hour and 08 minutes.

But Rise also currently holds the record for the death of C’thun, since the players have chosen to go straight for the Old God in order to defeat him as quickly as possible.

The result? A lightning victory in exactly 24 minutes ! Yes yes, barely half an hour.

Composition of the raid

The Raid Rise group consisted of the following classes and specializations:

Tanks

5 Protection Warriors

Healers

5 Holy Paladins
4 Holy Priests
1 Restoration Druid

DPS

12 Fury Warriors
5 Fire Mages
4 Assassination Rogues
2 Destruction Warlocks
2 Marksmanship Hunters

The longer you play Hades, the more things you discover, including special Duo Boons. At first, encountering them seems random, and it’s not something that happens often given their Rarity.

However, there are ways to increase the odds of getting a Duo Boon as long as you know the requirements, both in terms of Keepsakes and regular Boons you accept.

To explain further, we’ve put together a guide that elaborates upon what Duo Boons are, how to get them, and all of the Duo Boon options available in Hades.

The first question Hades players have in regards to Duo Boons is what they are. Essentially, Duo Boons are Tier 3 Boons (equivalent to Legendary Boons) that combine the special effects of two Gods.

For example, we encountered a Duo Boon that combined the powers of Poseidon and Zeus called Sea Storm. The requirements for this particular Duo Boon include accepting the following Boons from Zeus and Poseidon:

  • Zeus: Lightning Strike, Thunder Flourish, Electric Shot, Zeus’ Aid or Thunder Dash
  • Poseidon: Tempest Strike, Tempest Flourish, Flood Shot, Poseidon’s Aid or Tidal Dash

It takes time to acquire all of these Boons, so don’t expect to find a Duo Boon pop up at random early into your escape attempt. You have to meet the requirements of the Duo Boon in order to get it as an offer.

Duo Boons can pop up when you accept Boons as you work your way through the underworld. This includes Boons you purchase in Charon’s Shop.

For example, we acquired the Sea Storm Duo Boon by purchasing one of Poseidon’s Boons after we’d already met the necessary requirements for that Duo Boon.

You can increase the likelihood of finding a specific Duo Boon by using a Keepsake from your preferred God like the Thunder Signet from Zeus.

The higher your rank with a particular Keepsake, the greater the odds of encountering a Duo Boon.

You can also improve your chances by spending Darkness on the God’s Legacy talent by interacting with the Mirror of Night in Zagreus’ room. Doing so increases the chance for a Boon to be Legendary or Duo.

In total, there are 28 Duo Boons available in Hades. Below, we’ve listed all of these Duo Boons in alphabetical order, what they do, and what the requirements are to get them in Hades.

To quickly recap, Duo Boons are Tier 3 Boons (equivalent to Legendary Boons) that combine the special effects of two Gods. To get a Duo Boon, you’ll need to accept the required Boons for each God.

Adding to this, it’s helpful to have a Keepsake for one God at max rank, then accept Boons consistenly from one other God. For example, using Zeus’ Thunder Signet Keepsake and only accepting Boons from Poseidon.

You can increase the likelihood of you encountering a Duo Boon by spending Darkness on the God’s Legacy talent in the Mirror of Night.

Now that you know what Duo Boons are, how to get them, and what they do in Hades.

You’re probably wondering how to make gold in WoW Classic. Well, I’ve got you covered. Gold isn’t as simple to make as it is in retail. You’ll want to be careful where you spend your hard-earned copper. We all know every penny counts in Classic. There are simple tricks you can use to make gold faster. Some may depend on your professions and others could depend on your class. I’ve played World of Warcraft since Wrath, and I always made my gold by questing, selling vendor trash, and soloing old content. Occasionally I’d use the Auction House to sell an item because I kept up my Skinning and Leatherworking skill throughout the years.

If you’re hitting level 40 (or 60) congratulations! What a long strange trip it’s been, huh? Too bad money doesn’t really grow on trees, especially when it’s finally time to purchase your mount. If you’ve been spending your money wisely then how to make gold in WoW Classic isn’t going to be much help. You may be able to point your broke friends in the right direction with this article though. So be sure to hit that Share button so it pops up on Twitter.

Let’s start at the beginning. I know classic has been out for a few weeks, but how to make gold in WoW Classic deserves to start fresh. Whenever you begin a new character focus on selling gray items and white items you don’t need. Try not to delete anything when in the starter zones. Run back to the vendor when your bags are full. Don’t sell cloth, water, and food. The only stuff I spend money on is to train and repair. You can use the Twitch Client to install the addons Vendor Trash Loot to sell all your vendor trash at once, and the addon Better Vendor Price to ensure you’re selling the item for the best price.

Now I only train for the spells and abilities I’m going to use. For example, if I’m playing a Hunter, I know I won’t use the Aspect of the Monkey ability, so I don’t grab that. I’ll just train in Tracking Beasts and Viper Sting. Whatever class I play I make the same judgments because money is tight. Also, I only repair if I believe my armor is going to break. There’s no need to waste money otherwise. For example, if I’m playing a hunter, I only buy ammo if my ammo is below 60 in the starter zone and if it’s below 100 in the game world. You don’t want to be caught without ammo if you’re in a tricky spot and there’s no vendor nearby, but you also don’t want to waste money.

If you can pick up a profession early on then try and help other players. It doesn’t hurt to offer to make bags, bandages, food, or enchants. Hopefully, other players will tip you. If you do charge be reasonable. Anyone who’s in the starter zone is trying to make money too. It’s a good idea to create an item for another player without expecting something in return. If you do that then you might receive compensation anyway. The spirit of WoW Classic is to help your fellow player so don’t forget that!

Dungeons

Dungeons have always been one of my favorite ways to make gold. You can get a lot of vendor trash from dungeons. If you’re in a good dungeon group you’ll be able to breeze through the content. Running dungeons won’t make you rich, but you can certainly sell the spoils on the Auction House. Be sure to only sell green and blue items though. Vendor gray and white items. If you’ve got an Enchanter you can also Disenchant some of the green and blue items too.

Professions

Your professions can help you make a killing in WoW Classic. The best way to make gold is gathering professions. If you can find a great spot to farm materials that are in demand you’ll be doing well. Try and focus on the materials people need for potions or cooking. So think about taking on Herbalism or Fishing. Maybe you could find a great spot to farm for Fadeleaf. To keep better track of your professions you can install the Titan Panel addon [Professions] in the Twitch Client.

The cloth is great to sell on the Auction House. Tailoring and First-Aid require a lot of stacks to make anything. Most humanoids in the game world drop them. I’ve received cloth, wool, and silk from humans, trolls, and gnomes so far. It might be a good idea to farm that kind of enemies when they’re at a lower level than you. You don’t want to waste time running back to your corpse, nor do you want to waste money on a massive repair bill.

Ore is always in high demand. Engineers and Blacksmiths both need ore to craft items. If you’re able to farm Ore during your servers quiet hours then this might help you. Most servers are quite early in the morning or late at night. You don’t have to farm all night, I’d just farm for about 30 minutes. Try and figure out a route which works for you and goes with that. If you’re farming in a zone that’s a lower level than you, you might not be stopped as often by enemies. Hopefully, a PvP server will be quieter at this time as well so you won’t be ganked.

Enchanting is good to learn. Not only can you Disenchant items to sell, but your Enchanting skill will scale as you level. At a high level, Enchanting is important for armor. You’ll be really happy you leveled it up. Trust me.

Discover the World of Warcraft: The Official Cookbook on Amazon.com and create an Azerothian feast!

Making gold from the Auction House is smart. It can also be a bad move. Learning the Auction House takes time. You can buy items off the Auction House and resell them at a higher price. If you do this incorrectly though you’ll lose money. You must understand when a product is gaining value. To better understand the Auction House and how it works you may want to reference this subreddit /r/woweconomy. The subreddit explains how the World of Warcraft economy works throughout the entire series. You may also want to do more research into how the WoW Classic economy works. Consider installing the Auctioneer addon with the Twitch client to help you watch your auctions.

Mage Portals and Meals

Mage portals are great for business. If you’re playing a mage be sure to offer your services in trade chat. Make sure your prices are more reasonable than your competitors. Retail put Mages out of business when flight and portal rooms were introduced. WoW Classic doesn’t have all those conveniences which means a Mage’s services are once again required. I like to imagine Mage’s are like the Uber or Lyft of World of Warcraft. Should we title it Muber or Myft?

You could also charge a reasonable fee for food and drink. Honestly, it’s probably best to do this for free, but if you’re really strapped for cash you could ask for a small tip. The spirit of WoW Classic is to be helpful though don’t forget!

You’ll want to know where the Fortnite giant throne location is if you’re playing as supervillain Doctor Victor Von Doom, and working your way though their set of Fortnite Awakening challenges. Assuming you’ve already visited the Fortnite Doctor Doom’s statue to start this chain off, your next task is this: Stage 2 of 3 – Visit a giant throne as Doctor Doom.

This can prove tricky as the Fortnite giant throne is a relatively recent addition to the map, and technically it’s not even a throne, but rather a collection of scenery items gathered to represent a massive chair. Of course, you’re here because you know we have the answers to your Fortnite questions, so allow us to highlight the Fortnite giant throne location for you and you can be on your way.

If you’re seeking out the Fortnite giant throne location, then you need to make your way to the classic Retail Row area found close to the east coast of the island. The giant throne is nearby in grid H6, and it’s so big you can actually see it marked on the map, though it’s not obvious what it is from that view.

Up the mountain to the southeast of Retail Row you’ll see this collection of rocks and trees, which together form the Fortnite giant throne. Either land on there as you glide down with Doctor Doom, or climb your way up to it from below, and your challenge will be completed as you reach the huge seat. All that leaves now to finish the Awakening challenges is to emote as Doctor Doom during a Victory Royale – make this much easier for yourself by playing in Team Rumble mode, then hitting that emote button if your team reaches the score limit first.

World of Warcraft: Classic launched one year ago today, August 27, 2019. This was Blizzard’s first attempt at restoring an archival version of Warcraft, allowing players to reconnect with their friends from decades past and relive their first steps in Azeroth. The launch of WoW Classic was a success by all industry metrics, doubling WoW’s active users from summer 2019. wow classic gold for sale

Let’s go back in time!

For starters: most of us have experienced the “Day 1″ of Wow Classic! It was almost impossible to make 1 quest without a troll or orc friend stealing the monster in quest ! And at this level : No way to make a group, the experience was really ridiculous. Some of them would go in groups of 5 to face the boars of level 5 -6 thinking they would gain more time !

Once our leveling was done on our side, the Horde and the Alliance found themselves in the 1st wild PvP zone very famous at the time of Vanilla: The Strangleronce Valley!

The bigger players could be happy to have gotten a head start on leveling so that they could camp out all the new little players who just wanted to give their quest and move on to the next one : Big mistake! If the camp was owned by the opposing faction: you had to come back later to avoid being camped!

Then comes a phase that everyone has both good and bad memories of: Près bis Farm !

These famous items that you had to have before starting your raids in order to be optimized to down bosses very quickly! Every healer will remember the hours spent in BRD to get their famous trinket heal :

Or the mage in Stratholme who had to beat a team-mate to win the Rand to get the Crimson Felt Hat!

And to finish: our melee companions, who didn’t sleep at night because they were so traumatized by this dungeon, some of them never saw them: I mean the legendary weapons Near Bis war / rogue: The Gardienne tribale de Dal’Rend

And after this rough farmer phase, we could attack the 2 raids of phase 1: Molten Core and Onyxia!

The nostalgia had its effect: To relive this unique experience of a 40-player raid in the atmosphere of the time was for many players an immense joy, as well as for all those who had not known Vanilla at the time. Killing the famous Ragnaros, an emblematic boss in this game, together with his friends / guildmates will remain an excellent gaming experience.

Let’s not forget the remarkable feat of the APES guild, well known to private servers, who killed Ragnaros + Onyxia 6 days after the release of the game!

A Few Mounth Later: We are witnessing Phase 2: PvP!

With the release of Phase 2: The ranking system was put in place and each player killed could bring back honour and at the end of the week, depending on your ranking, ranks that would allow you to buy PvP equipment.

All means to gain honour were used: camping at the enemy fly / waiting in front of the dungeons / killing the same enemy several times.

To continue on the notion of nostalgia, those who were very PvP-oriented were looking for Vanilla’s “Holy Grail”: Rank 14, the legendary title “Hight Warlord” for the Horde, Grand Marshal for the alliance. A very honorary title for the player, but he needs to devote himself entirely to PvP to be able to hope to obtain this title.

In February, we had Phase 3: the Blackwing Lair, with its famous boss at the end : Nefarian!

The instance was famous at the time for the legendary second boss “Vaelastrasz” who was considered a “Guild Breaker” because of his aggro management mechanics and the need to have a solid DPS to fall him.

But contrary to the time: it was much easier on Classic with the game experience and the equipment of the players which were superior in terms of optimization than the one 15 years earlier. On the night of the launch, 42 minutes later: “Calamity” killed Nefarian!

Finally Phase 4 arrived in April with the programme: Zul’Gurub for the PvE content and the battlefield the Arathie Basin for the PvP.

Zul’Gurub is a 20-player raid, loved by the Wow Classic community for its outdoor and natural look, as well as its loot table ideal for both main and rerolls, but also the possibility to loot the famous Swift Zulian Tiger: very famous in the World of Warcraft community.

The Arathie Basin was the perfect opportunity for all PvP fans, as well as those who farm the R14 to be able to win the most matches with a good composition and therefore to climb the ranks more easily every week!

At the end of July, we are in Phase 5 with the release of the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, a more difficult instance than the previous ones, in 20 and 40 player versions.

For its opening: a collection of components from the 2 factions was necessary. This is the one and only event in World of Warcraft where the cooperation of the 2 factions on a server scale was used to unlock a content.

After the supplies are brought back to Silithus, a 10h event takes place with the summoning of several elites slaughtering everything in the way!

Once this event is over, the doors open and we can go and fight C’thun: The last boss of the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj!

The Wowclassicgp team wishes a happy birthday to this game for which we have been creating content since January 2019, and we are getting ready for the last phase of Classic: Naxxramas!

This week’s shuriken are looking extra sparkly – seems like the Ninjas have been to Prifddinas. The Ninjas have been up to their usual tricks this week, and this time they’ve been extra sneaky and hacked the broadcast system! Let’s take a closer look…

Player Broadcasts

Historically, players haven’t had that much control over the broadcasts they receive in chat. For the most part they were very useful, but after a while they’d get repetitive – and worse, if you were in a busy world, they could fill up the entire Chat Box!

Well, your broadcast woes are over! The Ninja Team have had a word with the Chat Box Goblins (you know, the tiny goblins who control the Chat Box?) and they’ve agreed to let players toggle more broadcasts on and off so that you can properly customise your experience.

You can toggle various broadcast now in settings -> gameplay -> Broadcast world, friends & clan.

By default, all options will be toggled on.

Global Broadcasts

Some broadcasts that previously highlighted achievements by wider groups have been narrowed down to only include your Clan and those on your Friends’ List, which we hope will reduce the number of extraneous messages you see.

This includes broadcasts about total XP achievements and rare item drops like the Blade of Nymora.

In some cases, we’ve done the reverse, and made it so that big achievements are properly celebrated with a world-wide announcement.

The table shows the different broadcast tiers and the broadcast tier changes we’ve made this week:

Crystal Chests

We’ve upgraded the Chest Interface for Crystal Chests with a new toggle that allows you to take items in noted or unnoted form. You can also Bank your items straight from the chest, a feature that you’ll know from the standard Reward Chest Interface.

This update should cut down on unnecessary clicks and let you organise your items in record time.

Triskelion Keys

Lastly, the Ninjas have made some changes to the Triskelion. Previously, combining the different parts of the Triskelion was a slow and painstaking task – now, you can combine as many keys as possible in just one action. That leaves you with more time to gloat over your Dragonstone Armour drops!
